I found this plant in an old Victorian greenhouse today, and thought it had a certain charm, it was painted wet in wet watercolour using the Sargent brush, and a little soft cloner to recover some stamen detail.

Thanks Anne, I would prefer to cut a flower and photograph it indoors, but as this flower was not in my garden I had to do it in situ, and considering the windy day the flower was difficult to keep in focus as it flapped around, and the light levels were so low during the heavy rain yesterday that a high shutter speed was out of the question. A helper to hold a transparent umbrella upwind might help. Have you any ideas on this subject?

Hi Otilia, the Spanish name for this flower is Geranio Rosa, and the Latin name is Pelargonium Graveolens, and it would grow in your country I think, if you can find a supplier. It has a wonderful scent.

In answer to your question about how to photograph things on a windy day, Toulouse, the only thing I can think of is to take lots of photos of the subject, and hope that one will be OK!
