    Monarch on Flower

I took a photo of a butterfly a couple of days ago, and turned it into this "watercolor pencil" painting. I set the palette for colored pencil (intense), allowed autopaint to go with random strokes for a minute or two, stopped autopaint and used the just add water blender on the butterfly, the simple bristle on the flowers, and the grainy water blender on the foliage. How'd I do? (It's a big file, so it's in my gallery.)

When I saw this pyra I thought it was very nice, but then I blew it up and saw that it is much more than that. It really does look like a picture that has been handpainted. The shading, strokes and paper texture are just right in my opinion.
