Sorry to hear you have had a couple of crashes BobR, but glad you are liking the programme. Welcome to our forum, and we look forward to seeing some of your efforts. I have no idea why you experienced those crashes, do you have enough ram? 2gigs is entry level these days, but the more the merrier, have you set up a second hard drive to use as a scratch disk? It is the weekend now, so no doubt corel may have some ideas next week. It's great you have created an image you really like, if you want to use the same settings on your next artwork all you need to do is glance at your brush drawer next time you open the programme, and at the top is the last brush you used. I have the memory of a goldfish, so whenever I post an image on the forum I usually make some brief notes on what settings I used, this can help others also, but it is an online way of remembering how you did a particular work, and in the future you can refer back later. No doubt others will come up with some ideas for you, on how to remember settings used, but you could invent your own code, and when you save an artwork as a jpeg you could include a basic code as part of the file name to aid your memory. The number of possible combinations is vast, I certainly can't remember how I do each painting, in fact sometimes even as I post an image I have to refer back to remember how I did it in order to add my notes, it seems to get worse as you get older. In the meantime enjoy using the programme, and it would be nice to see some too.

Life is very nice, but it has no shape. The object of art is actually to give it some, and to do it by every artifice possible - truer than the truth. - Jean Anouilh 1910-87
